A Love Extreme

A couple years ago I was down with COVID, during which time there was a day, delusional with fever, when I listened to Coltrane’s A Love Supreme about two dozen times in a row, reminiscing on a dead friend. He had introduced me to the album decades earlier in his shitty little apartment in Boulder when we were in school, and I hadn’t listened to it in full in many years. The result is this poem meant as a reflection upon the album, more than lyrics to it. This is another track where I’m supported by NY based drummer Dave Berger, who you can hear in his element on Dinner Music For Strangers, volumes 1, 2, and 3, among other recordings.

All of our tracks are and will be posted here as we finish this round of recording. We’re planning to have an album, or the equivalent, ready to be distributed at a live performance or set of them within then next couple years, if not sooner. Would you like to see us perform at your venue or event? Contact pedalpoet@gmail.com, and let’s make it happen.
